Aupair Visa France - Au Pair Program in France

France does not have an official aupair visa program. Most aupairs enter the country using a student visa. The Program requirements for a student visa in France are listed below:

Program requirements

  • Applicants must be between 17 and 30 years old.
  • Passport signed and valid for a period of 3 months after the last day of your stay in France, plus one photocopy of your passport.
  • 2 long stay visa application forms completely and legibly filled out and signed
  • 2 passport-size photographs, one glued on each form
  • Au pair contract from the host family in France approved by the local Labor Department in France ( DDTEFP or Direction Départementale du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Formation Professionnelle) plus one copy
  • Proof of studies in the US plus one copy
  • Letter of enrollment in a French language school plus 1 copy (You must obtain your Student visa while in your home country. The visa cannot be issued once the applicant is in France.)
  • Visa fee
  • The visa issued is a “Student” visa and is only valid for three months. This visa allows you to enter France. Then, within 2 weeks after your arrival in France, you must report to the “prefecture” of the area you will be living in, to obtain a “Carte de sejour etudiant”.

Family Testimonial...
Thank you so much for your wonderful site. I found my Au pair in less than 2 weeks. I found so many wonderful matches that it was hard to choose. Your site is easily navigated and intuitively user friendly. I was a free member at one time. However, the paid member fee was definitely worth it. It helped make my search move along much more quickly. Initially, I was concerned that I would be "spinning my wheels" emailing and calling Au pairs that were not really what their profiles said they were. Far from it, I found that the Au pairs that I emailed and spoke with were very honest, serious and considerate. I had a wonderful experience on your site and had no need to look elsewhere. Thank you Great Au pair for making what I thought would be a scary journey pleasant and comfortable and fruitful.
